Concrete Scanning Perth

Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) scanning to locate rebar, post-tension cables, conduits and voids before anyone cuts or drills.

Scan · Mark · Cut · Clean up
Overview

Concrete Scanning done properly

Cutting through a live conduit or a post-tension tendon is expensive and dangerous. GPR scanning is a non-invasive way to see what's inside the concrete first, so cuts and holes go where they're safe.

We scan the area, interpret the results on site and mark what we find directly on the slab or wall. You get a clear picture of safe zones before cutting, coring or anchor drilling starts, whether we're doing the cutting or another contractor is.

Process

How the job runs

  1. Scan

We scan with ground-penetrating radar to find rebar, post-tension cables and conduits before anything is cut.

  2. Mark and protect

Cut lines are agreed and marked. Floors, walls and finishes nearby are covered and water suppression is set up.

  3. Cut

Diamond saws and core drills cut to the line, with water and slurry captured as we go.

  4. Remove and clean up

Sections are lifted out, waste goes to certified recycling or disposal, and the area is left clean for the next trade.

FAQs

Concrete Scanning questions

Can GPR find post-tension cables?

Yes. Locating tendons in suspended slabs before coring is one of the main reasons to scan.

Do you only scan for your own cutting jobs?

No. We scan for builders, electricians and other contractors before they drill or fix.

How are results provided?

We mark the location of what we find directly on the concrete so the cutting crew can see safe zones.

Do you offer concrete scanning across Perth?

Yes. We provide concrete scanning across the Perth metro area, Mandurah and Peel from our Myaree base, with regional WA by arrangement. Call 0423 303 210.
